Fair Day
A lot of things happen on the day of the Fair. What can you expect? (Take note that the exact times may be altered a little bit before the Fair, but we’ll give you plenty of lead time.)
8:00-9:00 AM: Registration. Arrive early if you can. It’s frequently very busy close to 9 o’clock.
The students will be assigned a place for the project and given a name tag. The name tag should be worn at all times. The registration process can be quicker for students who take advantage of the opportunity to set up the night before.
9:00-9:15 AM: Opening Ceremonies
9:30-10:00 AM: Workshop/Judging Session #1. Every student group should expect to have a one-hour judging session, and three workshop sessions throughout the day.
10:45-11:45 Workshop/Judging Session #2
11:45 AM–12:20 PM: Lunch.
Bring a lunch. Students and their teachers are responsible to bring their own lunches.
We’ll have some interactive entertainment to keep you going during lunch.
12:30-1:30 PM: Workshop/Judging #3
1:45-2:45 PM: Workshop/Judging #4
3:15-3:30 PM: The Fair is over. Pack up and head off to get some supper.
5:30-6:30 PM: Student Awards. Students should stay with their projects to show them off to parents and visitors.
6:30-7:30 PM: Awards Ceremony
Please take your projects home with you after the ceremony. Any left behind will be discarded. Please note, certain awards offer additional opportunities for presentation elsewhere.
